David shows how you can trust God more than anyone else and how you can be open with Him about all your thoughts, issues, problems, and praises.  You are 100% safe to open up to God, and you ought to because He knows what you're thinking and doing at all times anyway, so you're not going to surprise Him with your vulnerabilities and admissions to Him.  In fact doing so brings you closer to Him in your own perspective of intimacy, knowing that He will always love you no matter what you do, so long as you remain humble and have a healthy fear, and a contrite heart toward Him. What a blessing to know that, isn't it!
